Well, from the beginning, I was not a fan of girl pop groups like AKB48 at all, but this recent "scandal" just makes me hate them more, or is even starting to annoy me(Sorry for the fans!).
Pop idols are not allowed to have a relationship with someone, just because it breaks the fans' ”fantasies of themselves with them” ...? ― This is just ridiculous. It's true that she is one of the most popular idols in Japan. But, she is also a woman who should be entitled to make her own choice and live her own life.Although this big controversy might be successful for their agency's marketing strategy, I think it's too stupid and this punishment goes way too far.

Very well stated. These girls have had their sexual agency taken from them inorder to be shaped by the creepy hands of a gross old man. I always twinge when my students say they like AKB. There are much better thigns to aspire to.
